Raggedy Shortcake

This beloved painting is hanging in my friend Bailey's house. I think it's a great picture of what I would imagine Raggedy Ann would look like if she was combined with Strawberry Shortcake. Let me also just say that is a creepy painting in real life.

Hand dryers, revisited

No, I never visited hand dryers in the first place, but "revisited" sounds more epic than not.

Geez, a month? Yes, I am here, and yes, I am doing well!

I've only got a few weeks left in this semester, which I'm stoked about because I've been SO incredibly busy! I'm definitely ready for a break.

Also, I feel you should know that this is the greatest hand dryer ever, last seen and experienced in a Carl's Jr. in Corona. It comes complete with a set of instructions.

Hopefully you'll be able to experience this glorious contraption at one of your frequent fast food stops. Once the idea catches on, we will have no more awkward experiences while drying hands.

Never again will you have to wipe your hands on your clothing after struggling to get the motion detector to respond to your frantic, wet, waving hands. No longer will you have to cringe as you pump the wet handle that everyone else has used throughout the day...that is dripping with water. Nor will you have to struggle to pull only one towel at a time from the little stack sitting by the sink, which has already drenched the bottom half of the stack.

Get the picture? This is phenomenal.

Santa Maria

well. i am currently sitting in santa maria. we left for concert choir tour today, and this is our first stop!
no concert tonight, and...i have like one bar of wireless internet. therefore..it takes forever to upload images, and even though i have a bunch to share....it's just not going to happen tonight.
but be assured, i will have great stories in the days to come.

Once every 1461 Days...

....Comes February 29. I love this day.
It's so rare...it really deserves more attention, I think.

When I was little, someone tried to stump me by saying that a woman had lived for 40 years but had only had 10 birthdays and asked how that could be possible.
I was not fooled...or confused....nor was I stumped.
You see, my half-birthday is today, February 29th. I learned at an early age that I would only have a half-birthday every four years.
Needless to say, I slapped that little riddle in the face when I was little.
And I still like to celebrate the rarity of February 29th.
I feel you should enjoy it also.


No, I am not looking for a bunch of comments saying "happy half-birthday." Come on, guys.

The K-man

On Saturday I was at Jeff's apartment to record some stuff for Ocean Hills' worship album. I went into it with not-so-great of an attitude, expecting it to take forever and consist of a bunch of redos. Thankfully it did not turn out that way because Jeff is amazing and has the best program in the world.


I literally played an electric piano that was hooked up to the computer. The computer program then had the capacity to WRITE out all of the notes that I was playing within the key and time signatures that I was playing in. It was amazing! And even when I made a mistake, another part of the program allowed Jeff to merely switch a few notes to make it sound perfect! I was so happy!


But what made me equally happy was his desk. He has an arrangement of all sorts of novelty items including this wonderful object:



Needless to say, Dwight, among other things, made my day soar with happiness.
